| Crosslines go multi-line At the end of 2000 Crosslines invested in some Revolution kites. Having spent the winter practicing and entering a few winter leagues to find out what competition with these kite is like they are considering what to do in 2001. The learning curve has been surprisingly steep. First of all it just great fun to fly kites that you apparently have control to make fly backwards and sideways as well as forward. The possibilities for routine building are immense, but the first time you try any of the compulsory figures you realise you just have not learnt how to fly these kites. We were presented with the figures for the Blackheath leagues and our first thoughts were that they were impossible, they were clearly designed by someone who had never flown a quad line kite, weren't they! Practice as they say makes perfect, well a lot of practice is needed but those figures are probably not impossible but just very difficult. Still wonder about the parentage of who ever designed them though. So what will Crosslines be doing, well you will have to wait and see, but its likely to include muti-line in some format, maybe team maybe pairs maybe indies!! |
